Be eager to…

…practice hospitality. To help those in need. How are you at being hospitable?

We’ll go deeper with this verse, in the context of humility, on Wednesday. The video below by Christy Nockels gives a hint to the lesson. Take a minute before you jump to the next blog on your list and worship! This is one of my all time favorite songs!

What does hospitality mean to you? What does it look like?

  1. I think sometimes hospitality is only seen as welcoming people into your home…but really, there's a whole attitude of hospitality that welcomes people into our lives and our day. And honestly, sometimes that's a little hard for me…because I tend to be someone who can get locked into her schedule and her plan and get a little frazzled when other things intrude on that plan! But real hospitality is flexible and others-focused, isn't it. It's something I want to work on. So, I'll look forward to reading more when you dig into it later!

  2. So often what we do for others flows away from us. We give – food, clothing, money, etc. – and hopefully someone in need receives. Hospitality is a form of giving that flows toward us.

  3. Hope you had a great vacation, Jessica! Hospitality is something that doesn't come naturally to me, its something I'm continually working on. I'll be looking for Wednesday's post. 🙂
